Mr. Taft currently serves as a Principal at Taft Family Ventures and Taft Development Group and has been with the company for 11+ years.
Mr. Taft's primary role is overseeing the day-to-day operations of the 5 divisions that make up Taft Family Ventures (management, development, construction, affordable housing, and asset management). He assists in the negotiation of all financial transactions for Taft Family Ventures and the Taft family including $100M of Sec. 1031 exchanges over the past 18 months.
Mr. Taft has more recently developed his own multifamily properties, has overseen renovations at several projects over the last year and developed two spec office buildings in the Raleigh metropolitan area. He maintains full individual authority and financial responsibilities for each of those developments. Other endeavors include Greenville's first Nano-Brewery, Trollingwood Taproom & Brewery, several restaurants including Ford + Shep and The Boundary Provision Co, as well several urban, mixed-use projects that sparked the revitalization of the Dickinson Avenue Corridor in Greenville.
Mr. Taft currently serves as the Environmental At Large member on the North Carolina Board of Transportation and previously served on the City of Greenville Board of Adjustments, the Greenville Museum of Art Board of Trustees, the Uptown Greenville Board of Directors, The ECU Medical and Health Sciences Board of Trustees and is a heavily involved member of the National Apartment Association, and the Urban Land Institute. Mr. Taft also formerly served on North Carolina's Eastern Region Economic Development Council at the behest of the Governor, as well as the Pitt/Greenville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and served as campaign co-chair of the Greenville-ENC Economic Development Alliance, which raised $3,000,000 from private entities throughout the region.
He is married to the former Blair Albritton and they are members of Jarvis Memorial Methodist Church and reside in Greenville with their 3-year-old Thomas Fleming Taft III and infant James Alexander. A native of Eastern North Carolina, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from East Carolina University and a Master of Business Administration from Colorado State University. Kevin is a retired United States Air Force Lieutenant Colonel completing assignments throughout the US where he was responsible for acquisition and program management of advanced aircraft programs.
Kevin serves as Chief Operating Officer for Taft Family Ventures (TFV). In this capacity, he leverages 30-plus years of experience to ensure the company has proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, accounting, information technology, and risk management systems in place for operating efficiency of the company. He works closely with company principals and leadership on new multi-family and mixed-use developments to secure financing and leads development and construction teams for new project delivery to TFV Property Management.
Prior to joining TFV he served as Chief Operating Officer at a Florida-based development company for 13 years where he integrated company teams in the development process for commercial real estate projects in the Southeast. He led all facets of company operations and development of 3,300 multi-family units and 600K sq ft of self-storage in several states.
Kevin has returned to Greenville joining TFV, home of his alma mater ECU, where he met his wife Christy during undergraduate studies. They have three daughters. He enjoys spending time with family on the Crystal Coast, playing with cars and boats, and pelagic sport fishing in the gulf stream.
Drew Baricko serves as Chief Financial Officer of Taft Family Ventures, bringing more than 35 years of experience in real estate, banking and financial leadership. Throughout his career, he has overseen financial reporting, tax, treasury, investor relations, payroll and benefits for real estate investment, development and construction companies in North Carolina, New York, and Connecticut.
Drew is known for combining financial discipline with a practical, collaborative approach that supports thoughtful growth and strong operations. He holds an MBA from Fairfield University and a BA from Sacred Heart University. Outside of work, Drew enjoys golf, cheering for the New York Giants, and spending time at the beach with his children.
Frankie Cash-Langley is a native of Greenville, North Carolina and attended East Carolina University with a concentration in Real Estate and holds a BSBA in Finance.
Frankie oversees the day-to-day operations of the Taft family assets by coordinating financial management including purchases, sales and financing of the company and family's assets.
She has been committed to the Taft family and its company for over 36 years. Prior to her employment with the Taft family, Frankie was a Mortgage Loan Manager at First Union.
Frankie is an avid member of the National Multi Housing Council, Triangle Apartment Association and holds a NC Real Estate Brokerage License.
Cindy moved to Greenville, NC in 1985, to attend Pitt Community College and considers herself a Greenville native. Cindy has served many roles within our company, and now leads Taft Management Group as its President of Properties. She began her career in the Property Management industry in 1994, and then received her CAM certification in 1998. Prior to joining our growing company as Sr. Property Manager in 2005, she was a Regional Manager.
She is an avid member of the Greenville Area Property Managers Association, and was an active board member for 15 years before stepping down to focus on helping to grow our company.
Dustin Mills serves as President and is the Co-Founder of Taft-Mills Group, LLC. During his 26-year career in the multi-family industry, Dustin has served in various senior-level positions for several regional and national development firms. In this capacity, he has overseen the development of more than $800 million dollars in completed projects. As an expert in the fields of Affordable Housing and Historic Preservation, Dustin has developed more than 4,500 affordable units through the Housing and Historic Preservation Tax Credit Programs.
Dustin holds a Master of Science (MSc.) degree in Real Estate Development from Columbia University in New York and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Kenan Flagler Business School at The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. He holds a post-baccalaureate certificate in Urban Land Development from Virginia Commonwealth University and completed his undergraduate work at Wingate University.
Furthermore, Dustin is a Board Member of the Wingate University Board of Visitors and the Town of Chapel Hill's Housing Advisory Board. Previously, Dustin served as a Board Member for The Boys & Girls Club of the Coastal Plain, the Pitt-Greenville Convention & Visitors Authority, the Greenville-Pitt County Sports Commission and was the Vice Chairman of the City of Greenville's Planning and Zoning Commission.
Dustin and his wife, Pattie, reside in Greenville with their two daughters, Layne and Emmy.
