Thomas is a native of Greenville, North Carolina and attended the College of Charleston with a concentration in American History and 20th Century American Literature. Prior to joining Taft Family Offices in 2009, he served as an analyst and management staffer for GVA Advantis.
As an Executive Vice President at TFV, Thomas oversees the day-to-day operations of Taft Management Group, all aspects of the operations, management, maintenance, and renovations of our commercial property portfolio, as well as handling the lease negotiations related to those properties. Furthermore, he assists in the negotiation of all financial transactions for Taft Family Offices and the Taft Family.
More recently, Thomas has developed his own multifamily properties, and overseen renovations at several projects over the last year, maintaining full individual authority and financial responsibilities for each of those developments.
An active member of his community and rising thought-leader in his industry, Thomas serves on the Greenville Board of Adjustments, the Board of Directors of ECU Medical Foundation, the Urban Land Institute, the Medical and Health Sciences Foundation of East Carolina University, The Uptown Greenville Board of Directors, the Greenville Museum of Art Board of Trustee’s and several professional organizations. Formerly, he served as the Governor’s appointee to Eastern Region Economic Development Council (now NCEast) and the Pitt-Greenville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
Thomas possess a deep interest and heartfelt commitment to the economic future and well-being of his community, region and state, aiming to continue his family’s decades-long devotion to public service and civic betterment.
